A Shape from a Shadow

As dark scares sunlight from the sky, Monsters stalk these streets by night, And you should not be here alone, tonight.

Want not for no wedding night, A tender touch by candlelight, For I will tear your legs apart, tonight.

Your beauty betrays you; now you will never be loved. And how you must hate me; I will never be loved.

Save your tears for honest men, And pray your pain comes not from them, For I and I will break you in, tonight.

Feel your thighs all greased with blood, For I have wrecked and ripped you up, A hollow heart can’t want for love, tonight.

Heaven be waiting, this fire is fading, and dying tonight. My body torn open, my innocence broken, no heroes tonight. And oh how you stalk the town, in the shadows you hide, Too old and forgotten, too wrinkled and rotten, alone ‘til you die.

Your beauty betrays you; now you will never be loved. (Heaven be waiting…) (…you will never be loved) And how you must hate me; I will never be loved.

Heaven be patient, I had no temptation, to kill her tonight. She’ll suffer a lifetime, and live her life like mine, alone ‘til we die. And oh how you’ll walk the town with such a secret to hide, You’ll know no affection, the guilt and rejection will keep you alive.

Together we both stand, a burden to no man, we will never be loved. (Want not for no one; you will never be loved) The villain and victim, I’ll never forgive him, for what I’ve become (How you must hate me for what I have done) And oh how I leave you now (And may you never return). This life is a long one, not wanting for no one, that’s what I’ve become This life is a long one, not wanting for no one, that’s what I’ve become.
